Jaylene Walter was born on a ranch in Eastern Washington.

She moved to Portland in 1986 after receiving a degree in Horticulture in Washington.

From the start, Jaylene became the landscape gardener at a private country club by day while building clientèle at member's homes by night and weekends, eventually moving on to start her own landscape maintenance business in1993. Her business focused primarily on estate gardening and pruning.

Jaylene became licensed as a Landscape Contractor in 2006. She is also a member of the ANLD(Association of NW Landscape Designers).

J.Walter Landscape and Irrigation Contractor is a small company that truly believes in personal service. Jaylene is always on site with her crew making sure you receive the quality work you expect and deserve. Good soil preparation and attention to detail is just one of the important beliefs of JWLIC.
